Get residents out.
Keep staff in.

A trained Guide goes with a small Crew. Scout books the ride and drafts the note. The Guide’s time is billed as Community Networking, so your per diem and your staffing ratio stay put.

Staffing relief

Two want to go. Two staff on. Someone has to stay.

You know this math. Most rate models have no line for outings, and taking people out leaves the house short. Groulpi adds people, not just ideas.

The staffing squeeze

Every outing pulls someone off the floor

Hiring is hard and shifts run thin. When a staff member leaves for an outing, the people at home lose that support.

The first thing cut

Community time gets squeezed out

When budgets tighten, outings and the rides that go with them are often the first to go. People notice.

What Groulpi adds
  • A trained Guide for each Crew of 2–4
  • Rides booked and tracked
  • Outings planned around what people like
  • A draft note for every person, every time
Who pays

Community Networking, explained

NC Innovations already has a service for this. Community Networking pays for support to take part in community life. Groulpi plans to deliver it with trained Guides.

What we’re still confirming. Whether a separate agency can deliver Community Networking to someone who also gets Residential Supports, and each Tailored Plan’s contracting timeline. We’ll share what we learn with pilot homes.

Documentation

The note writes itself. You still sign it.

After each outing, Scout drafts a service note for every person who went. It pulls in the time, place, who was there and the plan goals the outing supported.

  • One draft per person, tied to their plan goals
  • Times, places and ride details filled in
  • Staff review, edit and sign. Nothing is filed on its own.
  • Planned: export to the record systems you already use, like Therap

Community integration

Proof of community access, outing by outing

The HCBS Settings Rule requires real community access, and full compliance has been due since March 2023. Groulpi keeps a dated record of every outing, who chose to go and who chose not to. That’s evidence you can show at review time.

Choice

No more whole-house outings

Small Crews of 2–4 mean people can go when they want to, and stay home when they don’t.

Record

A dated log of every outing

Where people went, who chose to go and who said no. Ready when the reviewer asks.

Adult care homes

The activity rule, covered

NC rule 10A NCAC 13F .0905 sets the floor for activities in adult care homes. Groulpi can plan the outings, staff them and keep the record.

For adult care homes, a Guide’s time isn’t usually covered by NC Innovations. We’re working out pricing with pilot homes.

The pilot

What the pilot looks like

Small on purpose. We do the work by hand first, so the software is built around what really happens.

Step 01

A short call

How many outings happened last month? What got in the way of the rest? Who wants to go where?

Step 02

We plan and staff outings

Around four a month to start. We bring the Guide, sort the ride and draft the notes.

Step 03

We measure together

Cost per outing, staff time saved, and what residents say about it. You keep the data.

Provider questions

Before you ask

Our goal is that Guide time for people on NC Innovations is paid through Community Networking, not by the home. Pricing for Homebase and for adult care homes is still being set with pilot homes. We won’t surprise you.

Trained outing companions employed by Groulpi. Each Guide will meet the training and background check rules for the service and learn each person’s plan before the first outing. More about Guides.

Scout plans the ride with the outing: your van, paratransit (which often needs booking days ahead), or a partner driver. Accessible transport is part of the plan from the start, not an afterthought.

Yes. Crews can be matched across nearby homes, so people with the same interests can go together. Tell us how many homes you run when you join the pilot.
